Nepal has a long-standing tradition of using lapsi in many dishes and preservatives. A ripe lapsi has a pleasantly tart flavor; some people like to eat it fresh. But it is more popular to make dried fruit titauras, fruit leather, the legendary lapsi ko achar, or Pau Kwa; a thick lapsi soup served in most Newa feasts.
