Description
Diyo is an oil lamp made of clay, with a cotton wick dipped in ghee or oils. During Tihar (Dipawali), small clay diyo is lit in and around the house. Dipawali is a festival of lights, celebrating the victory of righteousness and the lifting of spiritual darkness. Lighting of diyo at home is considered highly auspicious as it brings prosperity and good health.
